This week we will look at the rise of Fascism and Nazism and we will add to our knowledge on Totalitarianism.
Remember our goal is to use this information for our final projects.

Today we are going to go over the 10 step to a totalitarian dictatorship. Then you are going to review the slide show on Stalin to fill in the chart on Stalin  (Today) and Animal Farm (Friday). 
As I read the description, you are going to find examples in Stalin's Russia that are an example of that characteristic. Hopefully we get through a lot of it.

Think back on third term, be honest and think about your sucess in class and your struggles.

There is a slide presentation we will go over, and you have a hand out that has the same information and you will choose  two pictures, and determine what type of propaganda it is and why you think so.

We will be learning about Totalitarianism
In the first stage- we will learn about Stalin.

After watching Animal Farm answer the following questions.

Today you will look at Stalin and his economic plan for Russia. We will quickly go through the slide presentation. Then you will answer the questions in the nearpod assignment.
There are three different slides of questions. the 1st is a review of last week.
The second and third are based on the new slides.

You will each be assigned a group where you will compare two revolutions that will be assigned to you.
Review the information in your Revolution notebook and fill in the compare and contrast Graphic Organizer.

This week we are going to start the learning about the enlightenment and how learning and questioning became the basis for societal change including revolutions. This reading will help you answer these questions.
On a google doc. answer and submit the answers to these questions:

What is sovereignty? How did it affect how people thought about their governments?
What were some of the limitations of the idea of sovereignty?
What does the American Three-Fifths Compromise tell us about sovereignty?
How did ideas about sovereignty affect the lives of some children?
How did ideas about motherhood change as a result of ideas about sovereignty becoming influential?
In what ways might the idea of sovereignty impact the way that a political community works?
