International Baccalaureate

Snowden International School is an International Baccalaureate School. This program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. IB students take an active part in, and contribute to, their school, their local community and their global community.

This is a challenging two-year program of international education and rigorous assessment. The program encourages students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners. Eligible students begin the IB program as juniors. (Link to class course selection form here)

Acceptance and transfer of credits varies by college, but many do accept credits earned through the IB program. This allows students to take upper-level college courses  without taking the introductory, prerequisite courses. Some will allow students to earn both college credit and placement.

Congratulations to IB Diploma Graduates
