Throughout the trip, students engaged in a wide range of meaningful and immersive experiences. They participated in school visits and cultural exchanges with Taiwanese students, learned traditional Chinese qigong, and gained a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s rich heritage through visits to Indigenous villages. Their cultural immersion continued through exploring iconic landmarks such as Sun Moon Lake, Taipei 101, National Palace Museum, and Taipei Zoo, while also enjoying authentic food experiences, including soup dumplings and other traditional local dishes.
It was especially rewarding to see students step outside of the classroom and use their Chinese in authentic, everyday situations throughout the trip. Whether connecting with local students, ordering food, or navigating daily interactions, they built confidence in their language skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for different cultures. These experiences reflect both the spirit of our IB program and Snowden’s commitment to developing globally minded learners. (Reported by Ms. Cai) View Will's photos here.
